Coast Surgical Group

 

Coast Surgical Group was formed in 1994 by the four founding members: Dr. Frank Hernandez, Dr. Nolan Johnson, Dr. Walt Fahlsing, and Dr. Mort Jorgensen. The group has since established itself as the largest general surgical group serving the South Bay of San Diego County. Today, Dr. Hugo Barrera, Dr. Stephen Summers, Dr. Rodolfo Arcovedo, Dr. Yifan Yang, Dr. Blake Spitzer, and Dr. Clifton Ewbank take care of the surgical needs of our community.

Coast Surgical Group specializes in cancer surgery of the abdomen, breast, thyroid and parathyroid surgery. Also, surgeries of hernias, soft tissue, Varicose veins, ultrasound guided biopsies, hemorrhoidal and anal surgery is performed. We perform advanced laparoscopic operations, laparoscopic band placement.

 

A new component of the practice will soon include incisionless fuduplication for gastroesophageal disease, as well as the utilization of the Da Vinci robot for surgical procedures.
